Microgreens Kit Instruction Set:

Step 1: Preparing Seeds (For Sunflower or Pea Varieties)

  1. If you’re growing sunflower or pea microgreens, empty the contents of the seed packet into a glass, jar, or container.
  2. Add water to cover the seeds and let them soak for 8 to 12 hours to aid germination.

Step 2: Soil Preparation

3. Open one of the provided 2-liter bags of soil and empty it into the tray with holes.

  1. Spread the soil evenly to create a flat surface.

Step 3: Watering the Soil

5. Gently water the soil until it’s evenly damp. Avoid overwatering.

Step 4: Sowing Seeds

6. Once the soil is damp, evenly spread the entire contents of one seed packet over the tray.

Step 5: Germination

7. Place the third tray (no holes) bottom down directly on top of the seeded soil.
8. Place weights on top to provide gentle pressure for germination. Use bags of dry beans or cans of food.

Step 6: Early Growth

9. After 2-3 days, green sprouts will start appearing around the edges of the tray. Remove the top tray and weights.
10. Some yellow sprouts may be visible; this is normal and they will green up soon.

Step 7: Light and Watering

11. Place the tray of sprouts under the provided light stand and turn on the light.

  1. Water only when the soil feels dry, adding water to the bottom tray only. Add about a liter of water to the bottom tray and place the grow tray into it.

Step 8: Growth and Harvest

13. Allow 5 to 7 days for your microgreens to grow under the light.

  1. When the microgreens are about 3-4 inches tall, harvest them using scissors or a knife.
